Key Qualifications:
- Certified Special Education Teacher with experience in K-12 settings
- Solid background supporting students with ASD and non-verbal communication challenges
- Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Familiarity with evidence-based strategies for instructional and behavioral support
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, families, and related service providers
- Flexibility to adapt instructional methods to varied learning abilities and needs
- Preference given to candidates living in or near the La Fayette, GA area
Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and interventions to students with diverse learning needs
- Develop and manage IEPs, working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance and student success
- Track student progress, modify strategies as needed, and maintain thorough records
- Engage with families to foster positive school-home partnerships
- Contribute positively to the school community and participate in professional development activities
- Uphold district and school policies and promote an inclusive, respectful school culture
- School hours are from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
