This full-time contract opportunity focuses on working with K-12 students for the entire school year, with a special emphasis on those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and non-verbal needs. The campus spans three school districts, providing rewarding experiences across diverse student populations.

Key Qualifications:

  • Certified Special Education Teacher with experience in K-12 settings
  • Solid background supporting students with ASD and non-verbal communication challenges
  • Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Familiarity with evidence-based strategies for instructional and behavioral support
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, families, and related service providers
  • Flexibility to adapt instructional methods to varied learning abilities and needs
  • Preference given to candidates living in or near the La Fayette, GA area

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction and interventions to students with diverse learning needs
  • Develop and manage IEPs, working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance and student success
  • Track student progress, modify strategies as needed, and maintain thorough records
  • Engage with families to foster positive school-home partnerships
  • Contribute positively to the school community and participate in professional development activities
  • Uphold district and school policies and promote an inclusive, respectful school culture
  • School hours are from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
