Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid teaching license and current certification in Special Education
  • Experience teaching students in an elementary, middle, or high school setting
  • Strong understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and related documentation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues
  • Organized, flexible, and dedicated to providing differentiated instruction

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement tailored lesson plans to address a spectrum of learning styles and abilities
  • Develop and maintain effective IEPs, including progress monitoring and data collection
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in inclusive and/or self-contained classroom settings
  • Foster a safe, engaging, and respectful classroom atmosphere that celebrates diversity and student voices
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in meetings, and connect with parents or guardians regarding student progress
  • Employ positive behavior support strategies and adapt teaching tools to support goals
