Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Active Louisiana Educator Certificate required
• Preference for candidates with Special Education (SPED) Educator Certificate; Elementary 1-5 Certificate holders considered
• Experience, or comfort level, working across a range of special education settings
• Ability to adapt instruction, develop IEPs, and communicate progress with families
• Strong commitment to inclusion, student growth, and collaborative teaching
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills
• Positive, professional approach with both students and colleagues

Responsibilities in This Role:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in the SPED program
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to deliver engaging instruction
• Track student growth, collect data, and communicate progress with families
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment tailored to a broad spectrum of learner needs
• Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain compliance with all educational standards and policies
