Special Education Teacher - La Place, LA

Key Qualifications:

• Possess an active Louisiana Educator Certificate (Special Education or Elementary 1-5 considered)
• Experience or passion for working with students in special education settings
• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated instructional strategies
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Dedication to building positive student relationships and engaging families
• Able to work full time, 35 hours per week, onsite

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that address each student's unique learning needs
• Adapt curriculum and instructional techniques to promote student growth and achievement
• Monitor, assess, and document student progress in accordance with IEP goals
• Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and parents to ensure comprehensive support
• Maintain a supportive and structured classroom atmosphere focused on academic and social-emotional development
• Participate in school meetings and contribute to a positive team culture
