Special Education Teacher - La Vista, NE

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Nebraska Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience working in elementary and/or middle school resource classrooms
• Passion for supporting diverse learners and implementing effective accommodations
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and families
• Ability to develop and deliver individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced school environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction for students with varying educational needs in resource classrooms
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages each student’s academic and social growth
• Engage with parents, therapists, and other support personnel to ensure comprehensive student support
