Key Qualifications:
- Current Special Education certification for Nebraska (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Recent experience teaching in elementary or middle school special education settings
- Strong classroom management and adaptive teaching skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to maintaining an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Enthusiasm for working exclusively onsite with resource classrooms
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction within resource classrooms at the elementary or middle school level
- Develop, implement, and track progress toward IEP goals for students with diverse needs
- Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to maximize student success
- Implement evidence-based interventions and differentiated teaching strategies
- Promote a positive, respectful, and supportive atmosphere for all learners
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings as required
