Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification)
  • Experience teaching students in K-6th grade, preferably in a special education classroom setting
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet a variety of learning needs

Your Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging instruction and interventions to students with diverse learning needs in a typical elementary special education setting
  • Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s abilities and goals
  • Conduct and lead IEP meetings, collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Track and document student progress toward IEP goals
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom where every student can thrive academically and socially
  • Communicate regularly with teachers, staff, and parents to facilitate student success
