Special Education Teacher | Lake City, South Carolina

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Special Education Teaching license in South Carolina (required)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Prior teaching experience with early elementary (3K/4K) students preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver specialized instruction for students in pre-kindergarten classrooms
• Monitor, assess, and document student progress and behavioral growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
• Create engaging lesson plans tailored to each student’s unique needs
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate student records
