Special Education Teacher in Lake Oswego, OR

In this contract role, you’ll collaborate closely with school staff and families to help students thrive both academically and socially. Teaching elementary-aged students, you’ll guide individualized instruction and create supportive, engaging classroom environments where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. This position offers a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week and features hourly pay that starts at $45+, paired with weekly direct deposits. Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education certification (or eligibility) required
• Preference given to candidates with 2+ years of special education classroom experience, especially in Life Skills or similar elementary settings
• Strong skills in adapting curriculum, implementing IEPs, and behavior management
• Team-oriented, flexible, and excellent communication abilities

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver tailored instructional plans for students with special needs
• Support students’ social, emotional, and academic growth within a Life Skills classroom
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, service providers, and families
• Implement behavior support strategies and data-driven interventions
• Maintain detailed IEP documentation and participate in meetings as required
