The classroom is housed within a single school and operates on a supportive, collaborative schedule from 7:20 AM to 3:20 PM, allowing for meaningful engagement with students and colleagues.

What you'll need to thrive in this role:

• Valid special education teaching certification
• Previous classroom experience with students across K-5, elementary, and middle school levels
• Strength in managing and instructing self-contained classrooms
• Comfort and competence working with students on the autism spectrum
• Flexibility and commitment to the consistent, full-time school schedule
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction in an ASD classroom, utilizing evidence-based strategies to support diverse learning needs
• Develop and implement IEPs and collaborate closely with related service providers and support staff
• Foster a safe and structured learning environment conducive to growth, independence, and social-emotional development
• Assess student progress and communicate regularly with families and team members
• Adapt materials and approaches to ensure accessibility and engagement for all students
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
