Special Education Teacher | Lakeville, Minnesota

You’ll work in a Charter school setting with a close-knit community, providing crucial support to elementary students in grades K-6. With a total student body of only 100, you’ll have the chance to make a real impact, tailoring your approach to a small, manageable caseload and collaborating with a supportive educational team.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Minnesota Special Education (SPED) teaching license
• Alternatively, candidates with a General Education background and relevant SPED experience are encouraged to apply
• If holding a General Education PELSB License Tier 2 - Tier 4, you may be eligible to complete an “out of field” form to serve as a Special Education Teacher for this term
• Dedication to working with students with a variety of needs, fostering a positive learning environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
• Prior experience in a charter school setting is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction to K-6 students with special needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state requirements
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff
• Engage with families to build supportive relationships and maintain regular communication
• Maintain accurate records and participate in all required meetings and training sessions
