Position 1:
A full-time role (37.5 hours/week) supporting high school students in a Resource Classroom, emphasizing math. This position involves instructing college prep math and pre-algebra, collaborating with general education teachers, and guiding students toward academic success.
Position 2:
A part-time (20 hours/week) position at the ALC building, with daily presence Monday through Friday and flexible reporting times. The educator will manage a caseload of 10-12 students, with services planned during scheduled hours, fostering strong individual connections and tailored support.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching license in any area
- Previous experience in a high school/secondary setting preferred
- Strong math instruction skills for Position 1 (college prep math and pre-algebra)
- Comfortable managing a caseload and providing individualized supports
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Commitment to fostering growth and independence in students with diverse needs
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and adapt instructional strategies for students with IEPs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all special education regulations
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to developing comprehensive educational plans
- Provide direct instruction in math or other required subjects, adapting materials as needed
- Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development
