Empower diverse learners and make an impact with seven contract positions available for experienced Special Education Teachers. These roles, based onsite, support middle and elementary school students across a variety of specialized settings for the 2026-2027 school year.

Your expertise in behavior strategies and instructional best practices will be invaluable in resource and center-based classrooms. Openings span grades and specialized programs—ranging from ASD to DCD—with opportunities to cover FMLA leave as well as support cross-categorical students whose primary needs involve emotional or behavioral challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota Teaching Credential in any of the following:
    • Special Education: Autism Spectrum Disorders
    • Special Education: Developmental Disabilities
    • Special Education: Early Childhood
    • Special Education: Emotional Behavioral Disorders
    • Special Education: Learning Disabilities
    • Academic & Behavioral Strategist License (ABS license is an option, not a requirement)
  • Demonstrated skills in designing and implementing behavior plans
  • Solid understanding of classroom routines, structures, and effective problem-solving
  • Excellent attendance and reliability
  • Strong collaboration with both special education and general education colleagues
  • Experience communicating and scheduling with paraprofessionals

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted instruction and develop individualized education plans for students in resource and center-based programs
  • Implement behavior management strategies tailored to student needs
  • Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Collaborate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing professional development
  • Provide continuity of instruction, including temporary FMLA coverage
