Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid special education licensure (open to all; tier 3 or 4 preferred)
- Experience or interest in case management, instructional planning, and cross-categorical teaching
- Familiarity with strategies for supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Emotional Behavior Disorders, and other disabilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering social, emotional, and academic growth
Role Options & Responsibilities:
Position 1:
- Serve 14 students in a cross-categorical caseload
- Teach 3 periods of Strategies (social/emotional skills, assignment support), 1 period of Reading (curriculum provided), and 1 period of Transitions (leisure/social skill development for students with ASD)
- Manage case files and provide individualized instruction
Position 2:
- Work in a center-based ACES program for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Emphasize communication skills, sensory regulation, and functional communication as alternatives to inappropriate behaviors
Position 3:
- Serve students primarily identified with Emotional Behavior Disorders or Other Health Disabilities
- Prioritize regulation and social skill development, teaching academic content as needed
- Support student integration into general education as coping skills are developed
