Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Minnesota teaching license (required)
  • Previous experience as a special education teacher or in a similar school-based setting is highly valued
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Competence in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
  • Ability to foster positive, inclusive classroom environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and compliant instruction to students with a variety of learning or behavioral needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Work in partnership with therapists, counselors, and other specialized support staff
  • Monitor student progress and make data-driven adjustments to teaching methods
  • Communicate proactively with families, sharing progress and collaborating on student plans
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations
