This contract position focuses on compensatory services, providing essential instruction and guidance so every child can achieve their potential.

Details:

• ESY program (Extended School Year)
• Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
• June 1st through July 2nd
• Pre-school setting with a focus on compensatory services

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with pre-school or early childhood populations, ideally in a special education setting
• Knowledge of IEPs and ability to implement individualized instruction strategies
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with families, assistants, and support staff
• Positive, patient, and adaptable with a commitment to inclusive education

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality instruction and support to pre-school students in the ESY program
• Implement compensatory education services in accordance with students’ IEPs
• Foster a nurturing, engaging, and safe classroom atmosphere
• Track student progress, complete required documentation, and adjust lesson plans as needed
• Communicate with families and related service providers to ensure comprehensive support for each child
