Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching credential
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Special Education or a related field
  • Previous experience supporting K-8 students, especially in resource settings
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and progress monitoring
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt lessons and materials to a variety of learning needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted instruction and support to K-8 students with diverse needs
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and plans
  • Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment focused on student growth
