Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with diverse needs across multiple campuses in the Lancaster, SC area during the 2026-2027 school year. This position involves working at elementary, middle, high school, and PreK levels with highly collaborative special education teams in both moderate needs and self-contained/resource settings. Schedules range from 35 to 37.5 hours per week, with assignments tailored to candidate expertise and preference.

Qualifications:

  • Valid South Carolina Special Education Teacher License
  • Required endorsements in Multi-Categorical, EC, or applicable specialization
  • Experience teaching in resource, co-taught, moderate, or self-contained special education classrooms
  • Ability to adjust strategies to support various academic and behavioral needs
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation and implementing IEPs

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging instruction and individualized interventions for students with varying exceptionalities
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching methods in moderate, resource, co-taught, or self-contained environments based on student IEPs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and family members to foster student growth
  • Participate in IEP meetings, provide input on goals, and monitor progress
  • Uphold compliance with district, state, and federal special education standards
  • Maintain well-organized classroom environments that promote learning and student safety
