Desired Qualifications:

  • Active South Carolina Special Education Teacher License with Multi-Categorical or appropriate certifications
  • Prior experience working in special education settings, including resource rooms or self-contained classrooms
  • Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to nurture and motivate diverse learners
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • EC certification or appropriate endorsement required
  • Flexibility to work onsite across multiple school locations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students in moderate or special settings, including co-taught and self-contained resource rooms
  • Develop, implement, and adjust IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages academic, social, and emotional growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff to ensure comprehensive student support
  • Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and compliance with district guidelines
  • Participate actively in professional development and team meetings
