Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active South Carolina Special Education Teaching License, with Multi-categorical or required certifications
  • Experience in elementary, middle, or PreK special education settings preferred
  • Ability to teach in moderate, self-contained, co-taught, and resource room environments
  • Endorsement or experience with Early Childhood populations (for PreK position)
  • Flexibility to work onsite, with potential for a virtual option for highly qualified candidates
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and collaborative skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver customized instruction to students with diverse needs in moderate and co-taught/resource room settings
  • Provide effective support, intervention, and accommodations as specified in IEPs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to promote inclusive practices
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings and progress reviews
  • Manage a well-structured, positive classroom that fosters student independence
  • Support multi-category classrooms, ensuring an engaging learning environment for all
