Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Previous experience working with high school-aged students preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development, compliance, and implementation
• Ability to tailor instructional techniques to accommodate a variety of learning needs
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Organizational skills for maintaining accurate records and progress reports
• Adaptability, creativity, and patience to manage diverse classroom situations

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver curriculum-aligned instruction tailored to meet the needs of special education students
• Develop, update, and manage individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Employ differentiated instructional strategies and modify assignments as necessary
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate documentation for all students
• Foster a positive, accommodating classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and self-advocacy
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to promote student success
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share updates and discuss student progress
