Special Education Teacher in Lancaster, TX

Make an impact by supporting students as a Special Education Teacher on a contract basis at an elementary level near Lancaster, TX. This rewarding full-time opportunity runs through May 2027. You’ll provide vital resource and inclusion services, leveraging your SPED EC-12 and core/generalist certifications to help every child succeed.

Your role is essential—bring your expertise and dedication to make learning accessible for students with diverse needs. As an integral part of the student support team, you’ll collaborate with faculty, families, and service providers to design and implement tailored educational plans.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Special Education EC-12 certification required
• Core/generalist certification needed
• Experience in resource/inclusion settings preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills
• Passion for fostering growth and confidence in students
• Commitment through the contract term (ASAP–May 21, 2027)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver resource and inclusion instruction for elementary students with disabilities
• Develop, modify, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers and related service staff
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Communicate regularly with families to share student progress and strategies
• Maintain documentation and compliance with special education policies and state guidelines
