Pre K Special Education Teacher | Lanett, Alabama

A full-time contract position is available for an enthusiastic Special Education Teacher eager to support early learners through collaborative instruction and individualized care.

This dynamic role centers on guiding a diverse group of up to 18 energetic four-year-olds, including both students with IEPs and their typically developing peers. You’ll have the support of two dedicated paraprofessionals and will thrive in a structured classroom environment focused on growth, discovery, and inclusion. The classroom follows Eastern Standard Time hours.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field (required)
• Valid state Special Education Teacher certification for Pre-K level
• Prior experience working with preschool-age children, ideally in an inclusion setting
• Deep understanding of IEP process, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with paraprofessionals and engaging with families
• Flexible, patient, and passionate about fostering a welcoming, accessible learning atmosphere

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that meet the needs of all learners
• Adapt instruction to individual education plans and monitor student progress
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals and related service providers for optimal classroom support
• Maintain accurate records, stay organized, and participate actively in team meetings and IEP conferences
