Pre K Special Education Teacher - Lanett, Alabama

Bring your expertise in early childhood special education to an exciting opportunity supporting young learners for the 26/27 school year! This full-time contract position calls for a passionate Special Education Teacher to lead a Pre-K inclusion classroom. You’ll empower both students with IEPs and their typical peers, fostering growth and inclusion for up to 18 four-year-olds. Two dedicated paraprofessionals will work alongside you as you create a nurturing, engaging environment where every child can thrive.

Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Special Education Teacher (state license required)
• Experience working in inclusive PreK settings strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Ability to collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
• Passion for early childhood development and inclusive practices

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students with IEPs within an inclusion classroom
• Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of all learners
• Foster a safe, positive, and cooperative learning environment
• Collaborate daily with paraprofessionals to support classroom goals
• Maintain accurate documentation on student progress, goal achievement, and IEP compliance
• Communicate regularly with families and interdisciplinary staff
• Adapt instruction and activities on a schedule that operates on EST
