Special Ed Teacher | Lansdale, Pennsylvania

Make a positive impact this summer as a Special Education Teacher supporting Extended School Year (ESY) services. This contract opportunity offers multiple openings for dedicated educators ready to help students with varying needs in life skills, autistic support, learning support, and emotional support classrooms. Bring your expertise to a rewarding, short-term role serving elementary and middle school students in a welcoming school environment close to Lansdale, PA.

Available classroom assignments include:

• Elementary Life Skills/Autistic Support (K-2 or 3-5): 8:30 AM–1:30 PM, Monday–Thursday
• Middle School Life Skills/Autistic Support (Grades 6-8): 8:00 AM–1:00 PM, Monday–Thursday
• Elementary Learning Support/Emotional Support: 8:30 AM–11:00 AM, Monday–Thursday

All positions run from June 29th through July 30th, offering a focused schedule with afternoons and most Fridays free.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (required)
• Valid Special Education teaching certification (active or eligible in Pennsylvania)
• Experience teaching students with autism, intellectual disabilities, or emotional/learning support needs (highly preferred)
• Strong communication skills and collaborative approach
• Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learners and manage different classroom dynamics

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction to students with special needs
• Develop and implement IEP goals in coordination with support staff
• Provide a nurturing, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Track student progress and communicate updates to families and the ESY team
• Cultivate strong relationships with students and colleagues to foster a positive learning climate
