Special Education Teacher - Lansdale, Pennsylvania

Beginning with a training period on August 17, 2026, and extending through June 12, 2027, this full-time opportunity offers a consistent weekday schedule, with hours from 7:30am to 3:30pm. Support a dedicated group of fourth and fifth grade students within an Emotional Support classroom environment, guiding a manageable caseload of 12 learners.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with fellow educators and families to foster social, emotional, and academic growth, while building strong, supportive relationships with your students. The classroom environment values creative problem-solving and individualized approaches to help every child thrive.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid certification in Special Education
• Previous experience working with elementary-aged students in emotional support or similar special education setting preferred
• Strong ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of effective classroom management techniques
• Dedication to inclusive, student-centered education

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students with emotional support needs in grades 4 and 5
• Maintain and update IEPs, documenting student progress and adapting strategies as necessary
• Utilize proactive behavior management strategies to create a positive, structured learning environment
• Engage with families and allied professionals to coordinate comprehensive support for each student
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training activities
