Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting K-5 students with autism in an engaging school environment. The position runs from August 17 to June 11 and features a weekly schedule of 8:00 AM – 3:45 PM. You’ll work closely with young learners in resource and small group settings, using both push-in and pull-out models to best meet their educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage overall case responsibilities, including developing and writing IEPs, implementing progress monitoring, and maintaining compliance with all legal and procedural requirements.
- Plan and deliver targeted small group instruction tailored to K-5 students with autism.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure student success in a variety of settings.
- Adjust and adapt lessons and supports to match individual learning profiles.
- Document student growth, family communications, and intervention outcomes thoroughly and timely.
Qualifications:
- At least one year of dedicated teaching experience with K-5 students on the autism spectrum.
- Active PA Instructional I or II Certificate in Special Education K-12 (emergency certifications are not accepted at this time).
- Solid understanding of current best practices for individualized instruction and autism support.
- Skilled in IEP writing, ongoing progress monitoring, and data-driven instruction.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
