Special Education Teacher - Lansdale, Pennsylvania

Qualifications:

• Current Instructional I or II Pennsylvania Certification in K-12 Special Education.
• Consideration also given to applicants with an emergency certificate who demonstrate strong relevant experience.
• Experience in secondary special education preferred.
• Passion for advocating for diverse learners and tailoring educational plans.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement effective, differentiated lesson plans for secondary-level special education students.
• Develop, monitor, and modify Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to foster an inclusive environment.
• Engage with families and caregivers to enhance student support and address individual needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for all students in compliance with policies.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and school meetings as needed.

This contract position starts August 17 and continues through June 11, allowing you to immerse yourself fully in the secondary school community. Compensation for this role ranges from $37 to $50 per hour, reflecting your expertise and commitment.
