  • Current Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility for certification)
  • Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong knowledge of specialized instructional strategies and behavioral interventions
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with general educators, related service providers, and families
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering student growth

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver differentiated instruction tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in line with state and federal guidelines
  • Provide direct academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to students
  • Assess student progress and modify teaching strategies as needed
  • Partner with fellow educators, therapists, and school staff to promote student success
  • Engage actively with parents/guardians to share progress and advocate for student needs
