Elementary Special Education Teacher | Lathrop, California

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is open in an elementary resource classroom serving students with mild to moderate disabilities. As a part of a collaborative educational environment, you’ll make a meaningful impact on a caseload of approximately 28 students, providing targeted support and differentiated instruction.

This direct hire role begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the current school year, offering a stable placement and the chance to work closely with students, families, and fellow staff.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid California CTC credential in Special Education required
• Experience working with elementary-aged students
• Background supporting students with mild to moderate disabilities
• Ability to manage and organize a caseload of around 28 students
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Commitment to individualized instruction and inclusive practices

Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction in a resource classroom setting, supporting students with IEP goals
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Maintain and monitor student records, assessments, and progress
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
• Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
