Elementary Special Education Teacher in Lathrop, CA

Embark on a fulfilling career supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a resource classroom setting. Two full-time positions are available to provide tailored instruction for students with mild to moderate disabilities. These roles offer the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while collaborating closely with other dedicated educators. The openings are for the current school year, starting as soon as possible and concluding at year-end.

What we’re looking for:

• Valid California CTC Special Education credential required
• Experience in elementary education and working with mild/moderate disability populations
• Ability to manage and support a caseload of approximately 28 students
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues
• Flexibility to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individualized learning needs
• Passion for advocacy and inclusion within school communities
• Prior experience in a resource classroom (preferred, not required)

Key responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students in the resource classroom
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff
• Track and report student progress through ongoing assessments and data collection
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student engagement and independence
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student growth and strategies
• Maintain timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school initiatives
