As a Supplemental Resource Special Education Teacher, you’ll play a pivotal role working with early elementary students, helping to shape their academic and social development. As an essential member of the school’s resource staff, your expertise will foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere where every child has the tools to thrive.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility) for your state of assignment
• Previous experience teaching or working with early elementary students highly preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP implementation and case management
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Passion for supporting diverse learning needs and promoting student growth

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of early elementary students requiring supplemental academic support
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans and individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to ensure student success
• Track student progress, collect data, and participate in IEP meetings
• Foster a welcoming environment that respects all students’ abilities and backgrounds
