Special Education Teacher in Laveen, AZ

This contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and runs through May 20, 2027, providing exceptional continuity for both you and your students. You'll have the unique opportunity to collaborate across two campuses, conveniently located less than a mile apart.

In this full-time position, you'll support a caseload of 25-30 students across two schools, working weekdays from 7:30am to 4:00pm. Channel your passion for teaching and your expertise in special education into transformative learning experiences, building strong relationships with students, families, and fellow educators.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid certification in Special Education (state requirements apply)
• Experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
• Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and related documentation
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Adaptability and collaborative mindset, comfortable working across multiple schools
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction tailored to diverse student needs
• Develop, implement, and update IEPs in compliance with state and federal requirements
• Collaborate closely with general education staff, service providers, and families
• Track and report on student progress, adjusting strategies as appropriate
• Contribute to school teams and promote a positive, inclusive school climate
• Prepare timely documentation and participate in meetings as required
