Special Education Teacher

We are seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs in the Lawrence, Kansas area for the current school year. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality instruction and collaborate with school teams to ensure student success.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement IEPs aligned with student needs
Provide direct specialized instruction in a school setting
Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Participate in IEP meetings and team planning

Qualifications:

Active Kansas Special Education Certification required
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Special Education or related field
Strong communication and teamwork skills
School-based experience preferred
