Empower young learners and make a lasting difference as a Special Education Teacher in a middle school setting serving 7th and 8th graders with autism and intellectual delays. This full-time contract opportunity places you in a dedicated sub separate program, where your expertise and compassion will help students grow socially, emotionally, and academically.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families to ensure every child receives tailored instruction and support. Your creativity, patience, and commitment are key in providing a safe and nurturing environment that encourages each student to thrive.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification
  • Experience teaching middle school students with autism and/or intellectual delays
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Familiarity with evidence-based instructional strategies in special education
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly, respond to individual student needs, and maintain a positive classroom culture

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a classroom in a sub separate program for 7th and 8th graders
  • Design and deliver individualized instruction aligned with IEPs
  • Assess and document student progress through data collection and reports
  • Implement behavior intervention plans and support students’ social-emotional development
  • Work cooperatively with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and student families
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive, and respectful classroom atmosphere

Compensation for this position ranges from $30.20 to $50.20. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
