What We’re Looking For:

• Current certification in moderate special education
• Proven background in teaching reading, with specialized training or certification in evidence-based reading programs strongly preferred
• Classroom experience working at the elementary level, especially with grades 2-4
• Expertise in differentiated instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs
• Proficiency in classroom management and leadership
• Positive behavior support skills, fostering an encouraging and nurturing environment
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction tailored to individual education plans, ensuring every student receives targeted support
• Implement and progress-monitor specialized reading interventions and programs
• Develop lesson plans that both challenge and engage a variety of learning profiles
• Work closely with general education staff, support personnel, and families to maximize student success
• Utilize positive behavioral supports to create a welcoming, safe classroom culture
• Maintain accurate records, document student progress, and participate in IEP meetings
