Special Education Teacher | Leander, Texas

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity starting July 21, 2026, and running through May 21, 2027. We are seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to support students in a variety of classroom settings near Leander, TX. Positions are available in behavioral, special education, and general education (math) classrooms, providing candidates the chance to utilize their specialized skills and positively impact diverse student populations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid State Certification in Special Education (required for all roles)
• For the General Education (math) role: active certifications in both Special Education and Math
• Demonstrated experience working in behavioral, special education, or inclusive classroom settings
• Strong classroom management and effective behavioral intervention abilities
• Commitment to fostering a nurturing, engaging, and adaptive learning environment
• Solid communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Flexibility and resilience to support students with varying academic and behavioral needs

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Design lesson plans that address both academic and behavioral goals
• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and behavior management techniques
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and adjust instruction as necessary
• Foster positive partnerships with parents, support staff, and other educators to maximize student success
• Adapt content and instruction for the appropriate classroom setting—behavioral, special education, or math-aligned general education
• Participate in meetings, professional development, and school initiatives throughout the contract
