Make a difference as a Behavioral Specialist in a K-12 school-based environment, supporting students across multiple districts. This contract position provides opportunities to collaborate with dedicated school teams and families, ensuring positive outcomes for students with behavioral and social-emotional needs. You'll play a key role in developing effective interventions, enhancing teacher skills through coaching, and helping create a supportive school climate.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Current Kansas State Teaching License with endorsement
  • Experience working as a school-based Behavioral Specialist, Special Education Teacher, BCBA, or related field
  • Previous work with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Comfortable supporting students in a K-12 setting across multiple districts
  • Strong skills in implementing data-driven interventions and research-based practices
  • Ability to provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support as needed
  • Demonstrated collaboration with school teams, families, and staff
  • License in school psychology, social work, or school counseling is preferred

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct FBAs and create individualized BIPs for students with behavioral challenges
  • Implement evidence-based behavior interventions and track student progress
  • Offer coaching and training to teachers and staff on behavioral strategies
  • Work directly with students, providing guidance and social-emotional support
  • Participate in crisis intervention and prevention efforts
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Adapt strategies to meet diverse student needs across various locations

This is a full-time, onsite role (35 hours per week, August 2026–May 2027) that allows you to partner closely with educators, support staff, and families in fostering student success.
