Special Education Teacher | Lebo, Kansas

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners as a Special Education Teacher supporting early childhood and elementary-aged students in an intensive skills classroom. This full-time contract position is based onsite and offers the chance to work closely with students on the autism spectrum, promoting growth and independence in both academic and life skills.

Qualifications:

• Valid Kansas Special Education Teacher license (required)
• Experience or interest in early childhood and elementary special education settings
• Familiarity with intensive skills classrooms and instructional strategies for students with autism
• Ability to create a supportive, compassionate, and structured classroom environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families
• Commitment to individualized instruction and data-driven interventions

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique strengths and needs
• Provide differentiated instruction and behavioral support in a classroom setting
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Collaborate with school teams, therapists, and families to ensure holistic development
• Document and report student achievements and areas for growth
• Participate in professional development and school meetings as required
