A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available in a Middle School setting, focusing on a Life Skills classroom for grades 6-8. This contract role begins immediately and continues through the end of the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction in a self-contained Life Skills classroom.
- Develop, write, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support student progress.
- Implement appropriate accommodations and modifications tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to ensure a supportive learning environment.
- Track and report student progress in alignment with educational goals.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state certification in Special Education.
- Experience teaching middle school students, preferably in Life Skills or self-contained settings.
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and compliance with special education regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt instructional approaches to meet diverse learner needs.
