Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (SPED) required
- Experience with mixed caseloads (mild to severe disabilities preferred)
- Familiarity with elementary age groups, specifically Kindergarten through 5th grade
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Supportive attitude, adaptability, and professional reliability
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students with varying abilities
- Deliver engaging instruction and specialized interventions in accordance with IEPs
- Work closely with general education teachers, aides, and support staff to create a positive, inclusive classroom culture
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student goals and achievements
- Commit to an 8-hour workday, Monday through Friday, at a single location
