Special Education Teacher | Lees Summit, Missouri

This role is based at a French Immersion School near Kansas City, where you will empower K-5 students as their dedicated Special Education Teacher. Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (SPED) required
• Experience with mixed caseloads (mild to severe disabilities preferred)
• Familiarity with elementary age groups, specifically Kindergarten through 5th grade
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Supportive attitude, adaptability, and professional reliability

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students with varying abilities
• Deliver engaging instruction and specialized interventions in accordance with IEPs
• Work closely with general education teachers, aides, and support staff to create a positive, inclusive classroom culture
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student goals and achievements
• Commit to an 8-hour workday, Monday through Friday, at a single location
