Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification, or eligibility to obtain one
• Prior experience with elementary-aged students, particularly in special education settings
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, staff, and multidisciplinary teams
• Adaptability and a positive, student-centered approach in diverse learning environments

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing direct instruction and classroom support in an IRR setting for students requiring special education services
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborating with general education teachers, therapists, and administrators to ensure cohesive support for each student
• Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
• Adapting instructional materials and teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student
• Communicating regularly with families to update them on student progress and address concerns
