Special Education Teacher in Lenoir, NC

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Current, valid teaching license with Special Education endorsement
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred, but enthusiastic new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Knowledge of Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes and general curriculum adaptation
• Strong commitment to inclusive education and ability to tailor teaching methods to diverse learning needs
• Positive communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary team members

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Deliver direct instruction to students in a variety of content areas, adapting general curriculum materials to meet individual needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with district and state guidelines
