This full-time contract position runs the entire school year and seeks two dedicated Special Education Teachers—one focused on Preschool/LD (Learning Disabilities) and another supporting students with moderate needs. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility)
- Experience working with preschool-aged children or students with learning disabilities, or moderate exceptional needs
- Strong skills in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning styles
- Patience, creativity, and commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom environment
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with families, staff, and related service providers
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction, both individually and in small groups, guided by students’ IEPs
- Plan and adapt lessons that support academic, social, and emotional growth
- Track student progress and document outcomes in alignment with school and district requirements
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Communicate regularly with families to ensure a consistent, supportive learning experience
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and relevant professional development
