Special Education Teacher - Lexington, IN

We're seeking two passionate Special Education Teachers eager to make a difference in a school community near Lexington, IN. This full-time role runs from August 10th through May 26th, offering 37.5 hours per week.

There are two openings available—let us know which matches your strengths and interests:

1. Special Preschool/Learning Disabilities Teacher

• Serve preschoolers with exceptional needs in the mornings (Tuesday through Friday).
• Support elementary students with learning disabilities in the afternoons (Monday through Friday), with full days on Mondays.
• Assignment based primarily at an elementary school.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Indiana teaching certification in Exceptional Needs covering a school setting: Preschool.
• Background working with young children and/or elementary-aged students with learning differences.
• Ability to adapt instruction to a variety of learning styles and developmental levels.
• Strong organizational and communication skills—collaboration is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging, individualized lesson plans for both preschool and elementary students.
• Maintain IEP documentation and participate in case conferences.
• Communicate regularly with families, support staff, and multidisciplinary teams to foster successful student outcomes.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every learner feels empowered.

Compensation:

• Earn $45 per hour during your contract assignment.
