Several openings are available for dedicated Special Education Teachers passionate about inclusive education and evidence-based instruction. Opportunities are open for full-time and part-time contract roles at the elementary and middle school levels.

Open Positions:

  • EC Resource Teacher – Fair Grove Elementary (Full-Time, K–2 students): Two openings available.
  • CASE Teacher – Davis Townsend Elementary (Full-Time, Self-contained classroom; focus on students with autism or autism-like presentations, access to general curriculum only): One opening.
  • EC Teacher – E. Lawson Brown Middle School (Full-Time): One opening.
  • EC Resource Teacher – Silver Valley Elementary (Part-Time, 20 hours/week, Mon–Thurs, 8:45 AM–1:45 PM): One opening.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active EC General Curriculum license is required; EC Adapted Curriculum or alternative licensure is not accepted.
  • Compliance with standard state credentialing and background checks.
  • Experience delivering general education curriculum within resource or self-contained settings (especially for CASE Teacher position).
  • Commitment to a consistent, part-time schedule as outlined for Silver Valley Elementary.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.
  • Strong communication, flexibility, and organization skills.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that align with student goals and comply with state and federal mandates.
  • Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction and support to diverse learners.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • For the CASE Teacher role: Support students with autism in a self-contained classroom while teaching the general curriculum.
