This full-time opportunity offers 37.5 hours per week and begins as soon as possible, continuing through the Extended School Year (ESY).

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification with Adaptive endorsement
  • State teaching license in Special Education
  • Previous experience teaching high school students with adaptive needs preferred
  • Solid understanding of IEPs, differentiated instruction, and data-driven interventions
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing and implementing individualized educational plans tailored for students in an adaptive self-contained classroom
  • Adapting curriculum and teaching methods to meet diverse learning abilities and needs
  • Working as a collaborative member of the school and support team, including paraprofessionals and related services staff
  • Engaging regularly with parents and guardians to track and communicate student progress
  • Ensuring a safe, positive learning environment that fosters student confidence and independence
