Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher for a full-time, school-based opportunity in the Lexington, North Carolina area for the 2026-2027 school year. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with diverse learning needs while collaborating with educators, administrators, and families to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement individualized instruction based on students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
  • Create and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
  • Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities

  • Multiple Special Education Teacher openings may be available
  • Elementary, middle, and high school opportunities may be available
  • Resource, inclusion, and self-contained classroom assignments may be available
  • Caseload and assignment details discussed during the interview process

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active North Carolina Special Education teaching certification or eligibility to obtain certification
  • Previous school-based or Special Education experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills

EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related field required
Master's Degree preferred
