What You’ll Bring:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification—state-appropriate licensure required
  • Previous experience working with students in a special education/resource classroom setting
  • Familiarity with developing, implementing, and evaluating IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with general education staff, aides, and families
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning space

Your Impact and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction and interventions to students with a variety of learning needs
  • Manage a caseload that includes both middle and high school students, creating differentiated lesson plans
  • Monitor student progress, update and document IEP goals, and report regularly to parents and stakeholders
  • Engage collaboratively with paraprofessionals, support staff, and related service providers
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and IEP meetings as required
  • Advocate for student success, ensuring access to resources and classroom accommodations
