Special Ed Teacher - Liberty, Missouri

Key Qualifications:

• Current and valid SPED (Special Education) certification
• Previous experience teaching or supporting students in special education settings, preferably with mixed caseloads
• Strong skills in developing and implementing IEPs for elementary-aged children
• Solid understanding of differentiated instruction and behavior management strategies
• Excellent communication abilities with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Passion for fostering inclusive learning environments

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to students with a broad range of learning abilities and needs
• Adapt lesson plans and instructional materials to accommodate learners in K-5
• Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, support staff, and parents, ensuring student needs are fully met
• Conduct ongoing assessments and maintain thorough student records in accordance with required timelines
• Implement classroom management techniques to support a positive and productive learning space

This role runs from August 11, 2026, to May 28, 2027, with a Monday through Friday schedule, eight hours each day. Compensation is offered at $40-45 per hour, based on your experience.
