Experience a dynamic contract opportunity as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher supporting schools in the Limon, CO area. This hybrid position provides meaningful work with young learners, covering a maternity leave from August 3rd to November 30th. You’ll collaborate on a dedicated team serving multiple sites over a 65-day period, with a well-structured schedule and the flexibility to manage paperwork and IEP meetings remotely.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Special Education Teaching license (ECSE or equivalent)
- Experience in early childhood special education, ideally within school settings
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Comfort providing both in-person instruction/assessments and remote case management
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with families and colleagues
- Ability to travel between Kiowa, Bennett, and Byers school sites as needed
- Strong organizational skills and time management abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct special education services and assessments for early childhood students, onsite four days a week (Monday–Thursday)
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with school teams and families
- Complete all necessary documentation and participate in meetings virtually when not providing in-person services
- Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment to help every child reach their goals
