Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Alabama Special Education Teaching License (required)
- Experience teaching or supporting students in grades 4–6
- Familiarity with resource classroom models and adapting curriculum to student needs
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and team members
- Organizational skills for managing instruction, documentation, and student progress
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small group instruction tailored to support IEPs and foster student growth
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials appropriate for resource classroom settings
- Coordinate with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure a collaborative learning environment
- Monitor and document student progress, making data-driven adjustments as needed
- Engage families in their child’s education and provide regular updates
- Maintain compliance with all required documentation and deadlines
Position Details & Perks:
- Full school-year position: September 28, 2026 – May 28, 2027
- Consistent schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:05am–2:40pm, totaling 30 hours each week with a 35-minute unpaid lunch/break
