Special Ed Teacher | Lincoln, California

This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to support young learners with special needs in an early childhood setting. Working full-time, you will engage with preschool students in a Special Day Class (SDC) environment, providing individualized and group instruction tailored to each child’s unique developmental goals.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering specialized instruction to a preschool caseload of 11 students divided into morning and afternoon half-day sessions
• Collaborating closely with two paraprofessionals in the classroom to create a supportive and effective learning environment
• Managing lesson planning, progress monitoring, and documentation on Fridays, which are dedicated planning days
• Implementing developmentally appropriate strategies aligned with Early Childhood Special Education principles
• Maintaining compliance with all relevant education standards and communication with families and team members

Qualifications:

• Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential with Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Authorization is required
• Experience working in a preschool SDC classroom preferred
• Ability to work in person for the full contract duration
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner with paraprofessionals and support student achievement effectively

Location and Schedule:

• Position based in Lincoln, CA at an early childhood school
• Full-time schedule of 35 hours per week
• Students attend Monday through Thursday; Fridays reserved for in-person planning
• Contract runs from January 2026 through the end of the academic year
