Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Valid state certification or licensure as a Special Education Teacher
• Prior classroom experience in special education or working with students with varying abilities
• Strong understanding of IEP development and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
• Adaptability, positivity, and a commitment to fostering inclusion
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to individual student needs
• Assess student progress, and create or modify Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general educators, specialists, and support staff to ensure student success
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is timely and thorough
• Foster a positive, encouraging classroom culture that supports emotional and academic growth
• Utilize evidence-based strategies and assistive technology as appropriate
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices
